My client is a global financial services company with 192 million customer
accounts in more than 100 countries. They provide consumers, corporations,
governments and institutions with a broad range of financial products and
services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment
banking, insurance, securities brokerage and asset management.

The Network Engineering group is responsible for project management, design and
implementation of all significant network projects across the EMEA region
covering 50 countries. The group contains an Architecture team that contributes
to a company-wide global engineering standard forum by testing, evaluating and
certifying new technologies.

Applications are welcomed from applicants with excellent written and verbal
communication in both English and Polish.

Knowledge/Experience: This position requires an experienced Engineer having
worked in an engineering role for at least 3 years and has a proven track
record of taking responsibility for and delivering complex network solutions to
a demanding business.

A strong understanding of traditional WAN technologies such as ATM and Frame-
Relay and LAN technologies such as Gigabit and Fast Ethernet are required.

Familiarity with typical investment/retail banking environment or equivalent
(major ISP, systems integrator or global enterprise) will be of great value.

Skills: Very good knowledge of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and other common network
protocols are required.

Excellent understanding of core Cisco products is required. This include the
current range of high-end routers and switching platforms (typically 65xx
multilayer switches, 8540, 72xx/75xx, 37xx)

Familiarity with multicast routing protocols, (PIN, MSDP, IGMP), with X.25/XOT,
SNA, Dense Wave Division Multiplexing, DLSW, ATM-LANE, IPX, Voice over IP and
IP telephony would be a significant advantage.

Familiarity with firewalling technologies would also be a significant advantage.

Qualifications: CCNP certification will be a strong advantage. Engineers with
any experience and skills matching CCNP levels may be considered.
