Your new company R&D unit of an international med-tech company.

Your new role As an international team member, you will contribute to the development, simulation and testing of various hardware interfaces and low-level communications used in a surgical robotic platform. You will assist with writing software in real-time environments (RTOS) as well as embedded Linux.  
Scope of duties:

• Develop C++ code in multithreaded, real-time environments
• Design simulation software for hardware and low-level communication interfaces
• Build specifications and requirements based on clinical and user inputs
• Work closely with Electrical, Embedded and Control Systems engineers
• Lead and represent the team in multi-functional dialog

What you39ll need to succeed:

• B.S or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field
• Several years of working experience with C++ (11 and newer)
• Multi-threading experience

Extra points for:

• Experience writing time-critical code on RTOS (QNX, VxWorks, Real-Time Linux, etc.)
• Experience with communication protocols like CAN/CANOpen, EtherCAT or RTI
• Experience in embedded Linux systems with Yocto Project: Device drivers, Yocto image etc.
• Medical devices experience
• Comfortable in debugging software which controls hardware devices
