Join over 500 satisfied Contractors and work with Hays Clients!We are currently looking for a Software Engineers for our Client, who will be responsible for designing secure embedded system architectures. 
If you have experience with embedded systems, low-level programming in C, and a passion for cybersecurity — this opportunity is for you!

• Location: remote work
• Type of contract: B2B via Hays
• Rate: 140-180 pln/h net + vat (depends on experience, negotiable)
• Project: automotive industry

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Experience with C and low-level development
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, networking, cryptography, and resource management
• Hands-on experience in security incident handling and threat management
• Familiarity with cybersecurity engineering and risk assessment
• Experience with tools like Enterprise Architect, Jira, Polarion
• Proficient in English (technical documentation)

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of ISO 21434, UNECE WP29, and other automotive standards
• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., ISO 21434 CSMS)
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet)
• Familiarity with Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi
• Ability to read schematics and design hardware/software interfaces
• Experience with AUTOSAR platforms and secure hardware technologies (HSM, TEE, ARM TrustZone)

Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements and conduct threat modeling
• Review and approve third-party solutions
• Create and maintain cybersecurity system architecture and documentation
• Provide technical expertise in software, hardware, and manufacturing security
• Research and apply cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies in automotive
• Develop strategies for prototypes and demos
• Design solutions to mitigate hardware, firmware, and software vulnerabilities
• Identify and utilize embedded platforms for future automotive systems
• Act as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity evaluations and assessments
• Guide product teams through integration and validation of new security design
