For one of our clients, a leader in the production of components for industries such as district heating and energy, we are currently looking for an experienced professional for the position of Procurement Manager. We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in supplier collaboration, managing a dispersed team, and with excellent English language skills.
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for comprehensive management of procurement processes across the Group (annual spend 30-35 mEUR) and for setting key strategies to optimise procurement operations and costs in line with company policy. Your task will be to maintain transparent communication between departments and ensure smooth operations to achieve the best solutions and benefits for the entire Group.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the sourcing and procurement process, ensuring compliance with global guidelines and policies
Develop processes and KPIs for procurement management and supplier performance
Manage and develop a geographically dispersed team, partially in matrix organization (7 FTE in PL and DK+ support to the USA)
Create and implement procurement strategies, including managing direct and indirect purchasing and forward planning
Oversee supplier management, including performance monitoring and ensuring compliance with established standards and contractual obligations
Ensure effective implementation, negotiation, and execution of contracts
Manage relationships with key stakeholders to align procurement activities with organisational goals and ensure excellent collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes
Supervise procurement practices to ensure efficiency and cost savings while maintaining high supplier performance
Manage supplier risk
Source suppliers for new projects and monitor their performance
Analyse and develop procurement processes

REQUIREMENTS:

Higher education – degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field
Several years of experience in an international production company in a similar role
Experience and knowledge of metals, components, and technological processes
Results-oriented and proactive approach
Ability to operate and communicate at all organisational levels
Experience in a matrix structure
Strong analytical skills and excellent organisational abilities
Very good command of English (C1/C2 level)
Willingness to travel for business
