For our client we are currently looking for Candidates for the position of Technical Specialist – Software Build Environment. Our client holds a leading position as a technology company innovating at the intersection of disruptive trends in the automotive industry. Work mode:  remote or hybrid work (Kraków based) 
Compensation: 130 - 155 PLN/h net (+ VAT)

Position overview:
As a Technical Specialist for Software Build Environments you will play a key role within client’s global DevOps Team, provide trainings, create documentation and support client’s project teams. You will on-board a global build framework to enhance the user experience of customer’s and client’s project teams. You will challenge existing solutions to bring them to the next level and will support on-boarding entirely new and game changing solutions.

 What your role will look like:

• Extend and improve an inner source project based on Bazel, that will be used by thousands of engineers around the world.
• Review and implement suggested code changes from external or internal stakeholders.
• Support project teams to on-board our global Bazel build framework.
• Advise project teams around Bazel.
• Create and provide trainings and share best practices with project teams on how to use Bazel.
• Create and provide documentation around Bazel and our global Bazel build framework.
• Troubleshoot issues. You will not always have to be able to solve them on your own. Your colleagues will be there to support you.

Requirements:

• You are experienced with any scripting language and you are not afraid to look into C/C++ code.
• You have knowledge and relevant experience with build environments, source code and configuration management systems, such as Bazel/ Make/ CMake, GIT, Jira and Docker.
• You have an Information Technology degree or similar.
• You are familiar with agile software development.
• You are experienced in analysing and solving issues.
• You have good communication skills.
• You are Curious: Explore your curiosity, challenging the status quo.
• You are Strategic: Plan ahead adopting future intelligence to break down barriers.
• You are Innovative: Challenge us to think outside the box, creating solutions which will enhance our technology landscape.
