***** Databases Administrator (MS SQL, AWS)

***** Main responsibilities:

* Administering the MS SQL Server and databases
* Managing updates and releases
* Ensuring data security, integrity and consistency
* Planning and management of data backups
* Tuning performance of servers and databases
* Monitoring and managing ETL processes
* Solving problems and incidents
* Designing and implementing complex solutions based on a MS SQL
Server
* Cooperation with the QA team and programmers to optimize the use of
the database
* Help with implementation of Big Data / Timeseries solutions
* Developing procedures for change management
* Maintaining documentation


***** Desired skills & experience:

* 5 years of experience with MS SQL Server databases on the Windows
platform
* Experience in administering database servers located in AWS (or
other cloud solution)
* Very good knowledge of SQL (T-SQL)
* Experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions (DB
Mirroring / Always-On / Clusters / Replication)
* Ability to optimize the efficiency of SQL queries, procedures and
functions
* Advanced ability to use tools for administration and monitoring of
the MS SQL database server
* Very good knowledge of English (Polish is not mandatory)
* Analytical skills
* Ability to work in a team
* Questioning the status quo"
* Higher education

* Experience in maintaining / developing systems based on distributed
architecture (over 5,000 edge clients)
* Experience in administering and implementing Big Data / Timeseries
databases
* Active MS SQL Server certificates
