***** Position description:

* Show leadership and experience in architecting solutions that meet
the needs of the business
* Show a deep understanding and experience in architecting solutions
that meet the needs of the business
* Full stack web development - Java, Spring, Hibernate, Maven with
strong experience in and enthusiasm towards Agile environments
(XP, TDD/BDD, Pair Programming, Scrum, CI, CD, DevOps)
* Value clean maintainable code
* Adhere to and show full understanding of SOILD principles of
software design
* Work alongside dedicated Scrum Master, BA, QA and 3 other developers
in a cross-skill team to develop and deliver high quality code in
lightning fast time
* Feed into departmental engineering strategy and platform improvement
backlog
* Feed into our Tech Radar that guides which technologies tools and
practices that we should trial,assess, adopt or hold


***** Skills / knowledge / experience:

* Participate in and lead technical discussion
* Lead by example
* Mentor and guide others
* Interest and understanding of agile process
* Experience of working on very high volume web applications
* Pride in writing clean maintainable code
* Willingness to collaborate and work closely with stakeholders
* Highly value automated testing and show an understanding of the
different levels
* Ability to occasionally travel abroad on business
* Very good command of English
