Role:

oDevelop and unit test complex components of implementations
oBe able to work on their own, or as part of a team, to strict
deadlines
oWork with other disciplines to refine/enhance their understanding of
the solution
oLiaise with Senior Consultants for design handover and direction
oTake part in workshops to determine requirements and approach
oBuild and deploy solutions in house and on site
oCompile & review low level Analyses & Design documents


Requirements:

oStrong experience in a technically challenging development role
o Excellent communication skills
oStrong JAVA development skills
oGood practical knowledge of specific technologies:
oJava, including J2EE technologies such as:
* JSP, JMS, JNDI
* Application servers: Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat
* Databases: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
* Development Tools: Apache Ant, Maven, Junit, Eclipse, Subversion
oExperience using one or more of the following middleware and
integration
technologies: SOAP (over HTTP/JMS), WebsphereMQ, SOA, AquaLogic
(Oracle Service Bus)
oGood general technical knowledge, focus on quality with an
appreciation of the customer deliverables
oProven excellent technical problem solving capabilities
oExperience of working in a vendor environment would be an advantage
oIT background in financial services or insurance sectors would be an
advantage
oFlexibility and willingness to travel to client sites when necessary.
oFluency in verbal and written English essential.
