Your new company 

For our client, a company that provides SaaS products related to sales, customer support, and other customer communications, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer.

Your new role 

• Create and maintain data pipeline architecture and highly performant data stores.

• Own the full release cycle from development to deployment

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using AWS ‘big data’ technologies.

• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.

• Proactively contribute to improving our infrastructure, code, and processes

• Work with stakeholders including the Engineering, Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

What you39ll need to succeed 

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience as a backend software developer, including 1 or 2 years of hands on experience in data pipelines or big data environments

• Experience working with relational databases, and with authoring and analyzing queries in SQL

• Proficiency in a strongly typed programming language such as Java or Scala

• Experience in building large highly scalable, distributed systems capable of managing substantial traffic.

Nice to have:

• Experience with the Scala language.

• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or Redshift

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS with Terraform.
