Senior Statutory and Tax Accountant - remote

The position is responsible for timely and correct filing of Statutory Financial Statements and Tax returns for dedicated entities in EMEA Region 

Your duties:

• Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time in compliance with the statutory accounting standards
• Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure timely submission and filing
• Provide support and expertise to other Finance Teams regarding statutory accounting matters
• Ensure the readiness of financial statements for review by external auditors
• Liaise with/be the Point of Contact (POC) for external and internal auditors regarding statutory and tax matters
• Ensure tax returns are filed accurately and on time
• Liaise with external tax consultants and the tax authorities regarding regular tax filings
• Be the Point of Contact (POC) for external tax consultants regarding new business scenarios
• Identify potential improvements initiatives and drive standardization across the Statutory and Tax processes
• Participate in the transfer of Statutory and tax related activities from the EMEA Region to the SSC in Warsaw

Requirements:

• Qualified Polish/international accountant (e.g., CPA; ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or similar
• min. 2 years' experience in a similar position in a multinational company
• Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS or any local GAAP
• Very good English - must have
• Knowledge of Polish GAAP will be a strong asset
• Experience in the SSC environment will be a strong asset
• Knowledge of SAP R/3 and MS Office will be a strong asset
