Description:

• We are looking for a Principal Java Developer to join an existing team building a new strategic big data platform for our client.
• The new platform will be an Azure based data lake with APls and events to allow consumption of data by analytics teams and will replace the existing Oracle and Java stack.
• This is a multi-year migration project and requirements will include engineering to support the migration of the data mastering from the legacy platform to the new one.

What will you do:

• We are looking for a Principal Java Developer to join an existing team building a new strategic big data platform for our client.

What we expect from you:

• An appreciation and understanding of Agile methodologies, including knowledge of TOD and BDD
• Experience working in agile software development teams
• Excellent communication skills able to liaise with other teams and stakeholders
• Being a proactive member of the team when it comes to releases and production issues
• Familiarity with DevOps/CloudOps
• Nice to have but not essential: Working exposure/experience with one of more of the following: Commodities, Energy Trading, or Market Data.
