Purpose of Role:
Has primary responsibility for US GAAP and GAAP compliance and reporting. Working closely with UK business, external consultants, auditors and all ABSC departments to ensure sustainability of the finance function for UK affiliate. Role will cover a mix of transactional and expert activities.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Preparation of statutory accounts and annual UK GAAP reporting.
- Preparation of tax and statistical reporting – ensures local compliance
- US GAAP reports preparation – corporate reporting, including tax
- Transactional GL accounting, e.g. accruals or journal preparation and/or approval
- Budget preparation and upload
- First point of contact for external consultants
- Supporting tax and accounting audit. Ensures that data are provided and deadlines are met
- Close cooperation with DtD and DE streams to ensure smooth processes
- At least 6 years of experience in accountancy/finance
- Fluent English language skills required
- University degree required in Finance or Accounting (Bachelor level as a minimum)
- Preferred candidate should have accounting qualification completed or in progress (e.g. Polish Chief Accountant – KIBR, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
- Working understanding of US GAAP and UK GAAP (or IFRSs)
- Experience in end-to-end accounting process
- Hands-on experience in financial reporting, including tax and statutory reporting
- Experience with ERP accounting systems – EBS Oracle is preferable
- Sound practical knowledge of MS office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details

- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team in matrix organization
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and communicate with the business
